Hawai’i’s medical marijuana law change

Hey there,

Aloha to thee. I just read in Saturday’s Star-Advertiser that one of the bills to ‘improve’ the state medical marijuana law has passed, BUT …

1.) it’s to transfer the medical marijuana program from the prison department to the Health Department beginning in 2015.

2.) it’s to increase the amount of herbal medicine from 3 ounces to 4 ounces, and

3.) patients need to get certified from their primary caregiving physician, NOT the special medical doctors who do it now.

Wow! At first look to me - that sucks - a lot. Progress? Hardly. I’m not a patient, so that’s just my point of view. What do the patients out there think about it? It’s YOUR program.

Some people in Hawai’i REALLY HATE the medical marijuana program, and the patients. I wonder why? $adistic people?

2 steps forward (transfer to health dept. and increase to 4 ounces), but one GIANT step backwards as most doctors will not have anything to do with medical marijuana. That’s why Dr. Jim Berg, Dr. Charlie Webb, Dr. Kevin Bakko and Matthew Brittain have done such a great service for 13 years.

It looks like patients in Hawai’i have 19 more months to enjoy the medical marijuana program as it is. January 1st, 2015 it changes, UNLESS activists can alter it for the better in the NEXT legislative session, or …

ANOTHER great reason why the religious / spiritual use of Cannabis sacrament is so important and our case is crucial to win for ALL the citizens of Hawai’i … and the USA, too.

God, that’s great! Please show us the blessings in THIS situation … and hurry! We are safe, we are loved and all is well.

All the best to everyone,

Love, Roger
