Aloha. Share and I and two other Green Fourteen co-defendants invite you to witness the upcoming public court hearing for our religious defense motion. The hearing is scheduled for July 29th at 10:30 a.m. and July 30 at 10:00 a.m. in the Honolulu Federal Building courtroom of U.S. District Judge Leslie Kobayashi.
This hearing is historic for a few reasons. It’s of great importance for us to be able to present our religious defense to the jury as promised to “we the people” in the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights. If we’re going to be able to “tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth”, we need the Judge to allow the whole truth to be told. So far the government prosecutor is opposing any mention of our religious rights to the jury. After hearing our motion and our witnesses Judge Kobayashi will make that decision. We maintain that we’re sincere people who have a legitimate Ministry and we deserve the protections promised to all of us by the First Amendment and the Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993.
Cannabis is the most widely-used spiritual and religious sacrament in human history, but it’s still prohibited in the one nation on Earth supposedly founded on religious freedom. Please join us on July 29th at 10:30 a.m. and give a message to the federal government that it’s time to recognize religious freedom for Cannabis sacrament. Help us to make this “the last marijuana trial”. Mahalo and aloha.
